Are there Attendance requirements?
Fellowship is the essence of Rotary and this is helped by regular attendance. Each
member of the club is required to attend or "make up" attendance to a level of at
least 50%. This can include visits to other Rotary Clubs, certain District events
and Club Service projects.
Who can join?
New Rotarians need to be proposed by an existing member and applications
are subject to approval by all the existing club members. There is no age limit
for Rotarians.
The Rotary Club of Leek has members aged from 32 to 81 It is always seeking new
Members and in most cases joining should not be a problem.

What is the cost of being a member?
This year the full annual subscription is £99 together with the cost of meals, £9-50
at present. Additional costs really depend on the involvement of the individual.
Charges are made for some social events such as Ladies Night or Safari Supper.
The Rotary Club of Leek is taking part in a Rotary pilot scheme that allows you
to experience the Club activities for up to 12 months without some of the normal
membership commitments.
The majority of membership fees are waived for this time, the only fee being
an initial £25. We do ask you to pay for your meals.
This way of finding out about Rotary may suit those whose business lives
mean that they are short of available time at present. It is hoped that after a
period of being an Associate member you would wish to be considered as a
full member of the Club the details of which are given below.
